Studies of pedagogics, economics and sociology in Ghana and the University of Innsbruck/Austria. Lecturer at the Department of Educational Science and the International Language Institute of the University of Innsbruck.


Mag. Dr. Bitugu was the first African referee in Austria and coordinator of the activities of FairPlay in western Austria and the founder and head of the now internationally renowned drumming group "KAKRA-KAKRA" (“slow-slow”).
He won the 1999 Integration Award of Austria and was the Ghanaian Fan Ambassador of the FIFA World Cup in Germany 2006. In December 2006 Dr. Bella Bello Bitugu was recipient of the Fair Play Trophy, awarded on behalf of the FIFA 2006 World Cup Fans by FIFA in Zurich. He was responsible for the activities of football fans and was head of the fan-embassy in Innsbruck at the UEFA EURO 2008 in Austria and Switzerland in June 2008.


He is the leader and spokesman of the Forum of Judges for the INTEGRATIONS PRIZE FOR SPORT in Austria according to the guidelines of the Austrian Ministry of Defense and Sports.
