Accountability

In March of 2005, various governments as well as the representatives of multinational institutions and civil society organizations adopted the “Paris Declaration on Aid Effectiveness”.  With this, they declared the intention to reform their procedures and management, thereby taking a step towards reaching the Millennium Developmental Goals.

One of the central demands of the Paris Declaration is the strengthening of accountability and transparence in the use of resources of the developmental cooperation, as well as the participation of citizens.
