Networks and Affiliations

The VIDC sees itself as part of the Austrian civil society. On the one hand as a professional platform that promotes initiatives and projects, promotes mobilisation and offers support, on the other hand as an important hub for networking, mediation activities as well as participatory and emancipatory initiatives.

The VIDC wants to offer space for partnership-based action, brainstorming, projects and dialogue by and for people of different origins and life realities. To reflect the perspectives of global development from a non-European point of view, to accelerate learning processes, to promote equity and to remove barriers is considered by the VIDC both as part of its knowledge work and its political value orientation. Networks and cooperations are therefore a natural part of our work.
